2025 Easter Event #
Eggs-plosive news! Our Easter event is hatching soon, and here’s what you can expect during the celebration:
Easter Eggs – Dungeon Hunt #
- During the event, very creature in any Dungeon and Raid you conquer has a chance to drop a special Easter Egg. The tougher the dungeon, the rarer the egg!
- Open them for a chance at some cracking good rewards!
Maurizio – The Harbinger of Death #
- Brace yourself for a showdown with Maurizio, the Harbinger of Death! A towering, bomb-laying chicken who defends his giant, loot-packed Eggs!
- He’ll be roaming the realm throughout the event, daring anyone brave (or foolish) enough to take him on!
- When defeated, Maurizio has a chance to drop special
Easter Eggs
, which can contain some special unique drops!
Easter Happy-Hour #
- 24 hours boost to XP, Unique spawn chance and Vengeful Chance for everyone!

Miner’s Rest – Rework #
Miner’s Rest and its surrounding regions have been completely reworked.
This overhaul includes the entirety of the old Miner’s Rest, the full scope of the Fire-Blasted Pass, and several connecting zones such as Lake Wojone, Black Valley, Gloomy Woods, and more.
The update introduces 7 new quests forming a cohesive Miner’s Rest questline, offering both new challenges and deeper narrative immersion.


Known-Server-Names System Rework #
Since its introduction, we’ve relied on Beamdog’s knownservername
system to track Player Names associated with each account CD key. This system was essential for identifying account ownership and preventing impersonation.
However, it came with several issues and limitations. As a result, we’ve reworked the system internally to provide a more reliable and secure solution.
Starting with the next server reboot, your current Player Name will be registered under the new system. Once registered, no one else will be able to use that name.
- You can only reserve one Player Name at a time.
- Name ownership is directly linked to your CD key.
This change will ensure improved identity security and a more stable naming environment for everyone.
Goblin’s Armory Dungeon – Expanded #
West Coast Goblin’s Armory Dungeon has been expanded!

GTS Crafting System – Adjustments & New Introductive Quests #
GTS Crafting System Improvements:
- Reduced the resistances and HP of low-level resource nodes to ensure a smoother and more linear progression for players starting crafting at low levels.
- Added 4 new introductory quests to each faction’s spawn zone, designed to introduce players to the GTS crafting system. These quests will reward you with the essential crafting tools needed to begin harvesting resources properly.
- The same NPC offering these quests will now also feature a dedicated store where you can purchase basic GTS harvesting tools.
These changes aim to make early crafting more accessible and intuitive for both new and returning players!
Chat Enhancements #
You can now opt out of the Shouts channel if you prefer a more immersive experience.
To toggle this setting:
Open your Player Menu → Player Tools → Player Settings
Enable or disable Shouts Channel Visibility as desired.
Additionally, Dungeon Masters can now choose to opt out of the Groups channel, allowing them to focus more easily on specific groups or events without extra chat clutter.
Domination Spells & Animal’s Empathy – Adjustments #
When you release a dominated or tamed creature, its behavior now depends on the type of area you’re in. Here’s how it works:
City / No-PvP Zones / Areas Outside of Fighting Pits: #
- The creature is immediately sent back to its original area.
- If the original area no longer exists or is unavailable, the creature is instantly destroyed.
Wilderness / PvP-Allowed Zones / Fighting Pits: #
- The creature will remain in place for 180 seconds.
- If not re-tamed within that time, it will attempt to return to its original area.
- If that area is unavailable, the creature will be destroyed.
This system ensures both immersion and balance, adapting creature behavior to the context of the world around them.
Areas Exploration – Enhanced #
From now on, whenever you explore an area, your character will save the exploration state of that zone.
- The next time you return, the same fog of war and explored regions will be restored, just as you left them.
This adds an extra layer of immersion and continuity to your journeys across the world of A Dawn of Heroes!
MISC #
- Adjusted Respawn Cooldown on Freezing Ice Crystals to 10 seconds
- Adjusted some creatures CR to better match intended spawn rates
- Renamed Dungeon and Raid areas with DUNGEON/RAID postfix
- Added 4 more Quests between Abiz Docks, Abiz Howler’s Point, and Abiz Hive Mother areas
- Added Socketable Gems drop to Elder Wyrm and Temple of the Dead Wyrm dungeons
- Resized Frothen Lair dungeon boss fight room
- Slightly rebalanced Rak Leader of Black Magic boss fight dungeon
- Rebalanced Assaulted Island Training Zones for better scaling with players progression
- Removed delay from healing spells VFX -> Heling Effect, to avoid potential issues or misunderstandings
- Adjusted new Taunt to directly send logs into players chat windows
- Added more animations on Sailors/Inn Masters
- Heavily Enhanced the Quests system to allow for any sort of object to be compatibile with any amount of quests.
- Added a new boss fight mechanic that requires the party to take cover in a specific zone of an area to avoid a potential TPK
FIXES #
- Corrected Mako Reactor Description
- Added Missing Purple Items to Test Area
- Fixed several weapons that were allowed for all classes but for which some could not pick Weapon Focus or Improved Critical feats
- Fixed Dominate Monsters in-game Description
- Fixed Harvest’s Blessing stats not matching our Wiki
- Fixed a case where you could get stuck with NO_MAGIC and NO_EQUIP flags
- Solved a problem with Rod of the Unique sometimes not checking the target properly
- Fixed a rare divide-by-zero case
- Fixed an error in pre-spell cast checks that was preventing some important checks from happening
- Fixed some Herbivore NPCs not walking around properly
- Fixed Holy Traps not triggering at all due to a wrong check in the setup of the trap
