Elite Guard

Prestige Class #

Elite Guards are some of the most loyal and dangerous soldiers that can be found in the lands of Nordock. Most often they can be found in large cities or fortresses – it is there that their impeccable crossbow mastery is most appreciated. Their combat training is a guarantee that civilians can sleep peacefully, without fear of any danger from the outside.

Skill points: 3 + int modifier

Skills: concentration, discipline, heal, listen, lore, ride, spot

Unavailable feats: brew potion, craft wand, curse song, divine might, divine shield, extra music, extra turning, lingering song, quicken spell, scribe scroll, spell focus ***I am unsure if there are more feats on this list***
These general feats cannot be selected when taking a level of Elite Guard.

Primary saving throw(s): fortitude

Base attack bonus: +1/level

Elite Guard Requirements #

Alignment: any lawful

Base attack bonus: +7

Skills: Discipline 10 ranks

Feats: Alertness, Point Blank Shot, Rapid Reload

Special requirement: Elite Guard cannot have levels in the Weapon Master class

Elite Guard Special Feats & Abilities #

1. Crossbow Mastery – Gains Weapon Focus for light and heavy crossbows.
2. Crossbow Specialization – Gains Weapon Specialization for light and heavy crossbows.
3. Elite Guard Training – Every 5th level in class grants an elite guard + 1 to his dexterity score.
4. Epic Crossbow Mastery – Gains Epic Weapon Focus for light and heavy crossbows.
5. Epic Crossbow Specialization – Gains Epic Weapon Specialization for light and heavy crossbows.
6. Overwhelming Shot – Gains the Overwhelming Critical feat for light and heavy crossbows.
7. Sniper – Critical Threat gets increased by 2 for light and heavy crossbows. Elite Guard Training +6 (also gets +2 strength).

Epic Elite Guard #

Bonus feats: The epic Elite Guard gains a bonus feat every five levels after 10th. In other words, at levels 15, 20, 25 and 30.

Epic bonus feats: armored skin, devastating critical (light crossbow / heavy crossbow only), epic prowess, epic toughness, great dexterity ***I am unsure if there are more epic feats on this list***

Unavailable epic feats: automatic quicken spell, automatic silent spell, automatic still spell, bane of enemies, construct shape, dragon shape, epic spell penetration, epic spell: dragon knight, epic spell: epic mage armor, epic spell: epic warding, epic spell: greater ruin, epic spell: hellball, epic spell: mummy dust, great smiting, improved ki strike 4, improved ki strike 5, improved sneak attack, improved spell resistance, lasting inspiration, mighty rage, outsider shape, planar turning, terrifying rage, thundering rage, undead shape ***I am unsure if there are more epic feats on this list***
