NEW LOOT SYSTEM:
The new loot system is finally here!
Here are its top features:
- Each creature can have unlimited different loot tables from which it can try to spawn loot.
- Each loot table can have its own settings in terms of chances, loops, etc
- The engine will try to always automatically split any kind of tokens drop among all party members/instance members. In case that is not possible (i.e.: 1 EPIC TOKEN for a party of 3 players), the token will end up as an item on the corpse/chest from where it was created. If there is a difference between the tokens split and the total, this difference will be dropped on the corpse/chest.
LOOT TABLE TYPES:
- Loot On Corpse: default system, as the previous one. The loot will end up on the corpse of the creature/chest. This will be the most used type while roaming in normal areas.
- Personal Loot: personal loot will be active only during world boss fights, or when a RAID boss is spawned outside of its instance. World bosses have their own specific loot tables.
- Roll for Loot: this kind of loot is NUI based and will apply to any instanced dungeon where the number of players involved is > 1. More below.
- Master Loot: this type of loot can be enabled in instanced dungeons/raids only by the party leader, that makes ALL the loot be automatically given to the party leader (NOTE: this mode won’t be active in the BETA and won’t be active for some time when this patch gets to the production server)
LOOT ROLL SPECIFICS:
- This kind of loot won’t appear on creature corpses or on the chest from when it is called, but instead you will have to vote on a NUI window:
- Select to “NEED” the item by pressing the “dices” button (when you absolutely need it)
- Select to “GREED” the item by pressing the “coin” button (when you don’t need it, but if no one else wants it, you take it)
- Select to “DISCARD” the item by pressing the “sword” button (when you don’t want it, and if no one else wants it too, its scrapped into golds divided among the members who wanted to discard it).
- All the items spawning on an instanced dungeon will appear on this window.
- If no one selects any of the options, the item is simply removed.
- You cannot change your vote once an option is selected.
- The item will be assigned to the winner immediately if all the members in the instance vote. Otherwise, after 60 seconds from when the item was created, the system will select the winner from those who voted.
- IMPORTANT: this system is NOT based on the party who clicked on the corpse/chest who generated the loot, the window will appear to ANYONE in that instance at that moment (if you are dead in fugue, it WON’T appear for you).
- If you want to kick a member of an instance, you need to use the new Instance Vote Kick function, available in your Player Menu, under “Party Tools”.
- NOTE FOR iOS USERS: This NUI widget was NOT optimized for iOS yet. You will most likely encounter issues from any iOS device with this window.
VENGEFUL SYSTEM UPGRADE:
The vengeful system has been heavily updated.
- There is a chance to receive a new property on an item even if that item has another property that could be potentially powered up.
- Added several more possible vengeful properties
- Removed vengeful forges. Everything now is done via conversation in Castle Glendario, see below.
VENGEFUL OPTIONS IN CASTLE GLENDARIO:
The vengeful upgrade of an item is now done via the conversation with the Nordock Avatar, in castle glendario.
- You will have to target the item you want to vengeful. You must have the non-vengeful identical copies of such item in your inventory for the system to work.
- To Vengeful a Nordock Item: requires 2 identical non-vengeful copies of a Nordock Item + 10 Boss Tokens
- To Vengeful a Socketable Item: requires 2 identical non-vengeful copies of a Socketable Item + 50 Boss Tokens
- To Vengeful ANY normal non-ATS item: requires FOUR (4) identical non-vengeful copies of the item + 500 Boss Tokens
- To Vengeful ANY normal non-ATS item: requires TWO (2) identical non-vengeful copies of the item + 1000 Boss Tokens
UNDERDARK REWORK – PART 1
Work has begun on completely reworking the entirety of the Underdark areas. As this will be the largest area rework yet, it has been decided to perform this in phases.
- Phase 1 – The areas north of the Underdark Central city have been replaced by one large area called “The Northern Chasm” which offers some quests and many new mobs. Additionally, to the east of Underdark Central has been added two huge areas: “The Fields of Delirium,” and “The Cavern Wilds.” These areas lead from UD Central to the duergar starting area of Gracklstugh, so now there is a “clear” caravan route between the cities. Within these areas are many more new mobs and quests to be found. In addition, there is a myriad of new BRILLIANT items located in the UD, some from quests, some as rare drops on certain creatures, and some simply hiding in the darkness… so keep your eyes peeled for them!
- Difficulty Zones of the Underdark – As a consequence of the new vastly-sized areas, difficulty of encounters may vary greatly. This is especially true in the Underdark AS IT IS ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS LOCATIONS in the lands. To help guide players to level-appropriate locations, there is a Deep-Ranger guild that will exist in most (if not all) major UD cities. This guild will not only have a Deep-Ranger eager to guide the player towards areas of interest, but an introduction to a new “marker system” that helps designate approximate level ranges of the upcoming area. As a race that starts in the Drow location, there will be a beginner’s quest near the training area that eventually leads you to this guild so that you may understand how it works. The UD is dark, so the markers may be hard to see at times, so it is important to always be vigilant!
- Future plans – Areas that have not yet been directly replaced still remain accessible for the time being. Future phases will eventually replace these areas and reconnect all UD cities, and offer new paths to the surface.
DUNGEONS NEW MECHANICS:
Added 3 new dungeons mechanics:
- Pulsing Pillar: the boss starts to create pillars near a player location, the pillar deals damage all around itself each round if not destroyed.
- AOE at player location: the boss starts to spawn AOE damage areas near all players locations.
- Damage AOE at player location: the boss starts to spam AOE damage at all players locations. A warning is received before the damage is applied to that area.
Modified the petrify mechanic (RAIDS only):
- The petrify mechanic has been improved graphically, no functionalities changes.
INSTANCED DUNGEONS – LIMITS & CHANGES:
- It is now possible to enter or invite players in your instance at any time during the dungeon, until the final boss is defeated.
- You can go back into the instance at any time if you wipe, or want to take a break (remember instances are removed in 45 minutes if kept empty!)
NEW DUNGEONS RESET MECHANIC:
Fights against dungeons final bosses or against any RAID boss can reset under specific circumstances:
- Party wipe: if the party wipes, the boss room will reset, all boss encounters will be removed, and the fight will be ready again in 30 seconds.
- The Boss is taken out of the “fighting pit”: each final dungeon boss or any RAID boss has a specific fighting pit in where the fight has to happen. If you try to bring the boss to a specific external location, corner, where the fight is easier or where the AI could be compromised, the entire boss fight will reset. The limit of a fighting pit is delimited (where there is a limit, not all boss fights have them), and identified by a straight line of small “flames” on the ground.
LVL 40 DUNGEONS LOOT ADJUSTMENT:
- Each final boss of each LVL 40 Dungeon has its own chances to drop loot from a specific loot table.
- Some of these items are shared with other LVL 40 dungeons bosses.
- Some LVL 40 Dungeon boss have additional loot table which can spawn unique items if you are lucky enough (like pets, brilliant items, or else!).
- Fury Fortress: Sangrolu has a chance to drop

(this item can’t be found anywhere else) - Damned Tower: Lord Saurog reshaped. Has a chance to drop
Golden Circlet
(this item can’t be found anywhere else) - Temple of Death: Lord Tyrmon has a chance to drop

RAIDS COMPLETE REWORK:
All ADOH RAIDS have been reworked!
2 of them have been soft-reworked, while 2 have been made completely new!
PLANE OF RAGE:
- Wrapped the whole raid into 1 single area.
- Removed some mini boss. Those left will fight alongside with major raid bosses.
- Removed some encounters.
- Made some encounters mandatory.
- Has 4 major bosses: AJATAR, HALAMANDER, DANAVA, AHRIMAN (+ optional AHRIPAR)
CASTLE MOORE:
- Wrapped the whole raid into 2 areas
- Removed some mini boss. Those left will fight alongside with major raid bosses.
- Removed some encounters.
- Made some encounters mandatory.
- You can enter the RAID from the Courtyard too now.
- Has 4 major bosses: XANASDEM, ACERERAK, ISNAR, LORD MOORE
BLACK DEEP:
- Completely reworked the RAID into a new giant area.
- Changed its enter location. Still in Sholo but on a different spot.
- Removed some mini boss. Those left will fight alongside with major raid bosses.
- Made some encounters mandatory.
- Has 4 major bosses: MASTODON, PYROSYS, SHANDAULAR, HYDROSYS
GURNAL CITY (EX VALDAMIR FORTRESS):
The city of Gurnal has been invaded by Duke Valdamir, once a great duke of the island.
- Completely reworked the RAID into a new giant area.
- Removed some mini boss. Those left will fight alongside with major raid bosses.
- Made some encounters mandatory.
- Has 3 major bosses: GOTHMOG, SILLA, VALDAMIR (by defeating Valdamir AFTER having cleared the city from all the enemies, you will unlock also a second treasure bonus, like if there was a 4th raid boss)
RAID DETAILS:
- Each RAID boss will drop BOSS TOKENS and 1 Socketable Item from their list (2 if the boss is UNIQUE), each boss has an unique list of items, which means the items from that boss won’t drop from any other. Each RAID boss will also drop 2 Socketable gems (3 if the boss is UNIQUE).
- Rings can drop from ANY final RAID boss.
- Each RAID boss has a small chance to drop an unique Purple Item. Each item is unique for that boss and cannot be dropped by any other boss.
- Some RAID bosses have a small chance to drop additional loot: i.e. Valdamir can drop the Nightmare Mount, or itself as a companion Pet..
BOSS TOKENS OPTIONS IN CASTLE GLENDARIO:
- Nordock Items cost changed to 15-20 BTs based on the item type
- 100 BOSS TOKENS option to receive a random Socketable Weapon (100% weapon, 0% wearable)
- 150 BOSS TOKENS option to receive a Socketable Item (50% weapon, 50% wearable)
- 250 BOSS TOKENS option to receive a Socketable “wearable” item
- 500 BOSS TOKENS option to receive a top list Socketable “wearable” item (Heavy Armor, Cloth, Ring, Helmet, Amulet, Cloak, Belt, Boots, Bracers)
- Alignment Change option now costs 25 BOSS TOKENS.
- Added new CHARACTER RE-ROLL option for 500 BOSS TOKENS
GEMS OPTIONS IN CASTLE GLENDARIO:
- The gem gambling option in Castle Glendario now costs 10 BOSS TOKENS per attempt.
- A new Socketable Gems store has been added to Castle Glendario. You can purchase any specific available GEM for a price in BOSS TOKENS.
WORLD BOSS NEW RANGES:
- World bosses now have a specific range to which they will give or not give rewards at the end of the fight. If you don’t meet the level range, you won’t be included in the reward.
- LOW LVL BOSS: minimum level to receive loot is 15, maximum 25
- MID LVL BOSS: minimum level to receive loot is 25, maximum is 35
- HIG LVL BOSS: minimum level to receive loot is 35
NEW HALL OF FAME:
- The new ADOH HALL OF FAME has finally been created!
- You can find the building in Mulrok city, aside of the arena!
- It contains the names of those who won major ADOH PVP tournaments AND all recent donors from December 2022 initiative!
- The building can and will be expanded in the future to host more honorable members of our community!
PETS ARE HERE:
- The new PETs system is ready and working! Each boss with an existing pet also has a chance to drop it as a special reward (rare one though!)
- These pets won’t fight and won’t be targeted by the AI, also, they cannot be used as obstacles etc
- The pets are just a funny company, nothing more!
- These pets might talk from time to time..
NEW INNS SYSTEM:
- Inns have been updated to feel a bit more.. real!
- In most inns you will have to buy the key for a room from the inn master, and then search for a room in where to rest! You cannot rest in the main hall can you? (in some rare cases you still can if the Inn doesn’t have bedrooms)
OTHER:
- Adjusted Druid level 40 summons
- Enhanced Elder Wyrm stats (was by far the most farmed lvl 40 dungeon)
- It is not possible to rest into any instanced dungeon while a boss fight is going on, no matter how far you go.
- Added different specific “corpse” lights. Blue for UNIQUE creatures, WHITE for BOSS creatures, RED for UNIQUE BOSS creatures.
- Surely more I am missing right now..
FIXES:
- Fixed Tobaro ship attack spot being unreachable
- Fixed placeable master/slave system not considering player associates as damager
- Fixed chance to create a character with the same name
- Fixed race system allowing out of alignment Tiefling characters at level 1
- Removed different copies of “Helm of Darkness”. All merged into one single item.
- Surely more I am missing right now…
