Mount Speed Bonus #

This skills handles the max speed of a character while mounted up to the character Ride Skill cap (see below), or up tot each specific mount max speed:

1. Ride Skill 43: Max mount speed 2.4 (240%)
2. Ride Skill 33+: Max mount speed 2.2 (220%)
3. Ride Skill 23+: Max mount speed 2.0 (200%)
4. Ride Skill 18+: Max mount speed 1.8 (180%)
5. Ride Skill 9+: Max mount speed 1.6 (160%)

Note: If you don’t have the Mounted Combat feat, the max speed while mounted when you enter combat is always reduced to 1.5 (the standard haste speed).

Mount Dodge AC Bonus #

Additionally, this skill grants the character +1 Dodge AC for each 5 or 10 invested Ride Skill points if you also have the Mounted Combat feat (see below for a better explanation):

• When you mount, your Tumble Skill is reduced by a flat value of -50. Your Ride Skill will be used instead, emulating the same behavior (Ride Skill will grant +1 dodge AC each 5 points up to your Tumble AC bonus. If that bonus value is < of your (Ride / 10) value, then (Ride / 10) will be added as dodge AC bonus). This dodge AC bonus counts toward the +20 dodge AC cap.
